negotiations and plans.
\nThe goal has always been a present of well-being and a tomorrow of prosperity.
\nOn this arduous path
\nplagued by a germ that crosses all borders.
\nLanguage has never been a luxury.
\nbut an accurate and truthful witness.
\nand an intellectual and expressive need.
\nLanguage reminds, warns, awakens, and saves.
\nLanguage reminds that the roots do not end.
\nRather, it extends to the next days, seasons of nature, and the climate cycle.
\nToday’s thought is tomorrow’s reality.
\nToday’s thought is tomorrow’s result.
\nIt warns against the sight of poverty, hunger and homelessness when it becomes the reality of every time and place.
\nIt awakens with a word, a tone, an example, a picture.
\nIt saves with an unrealistic beauty that depicts the harsh reality.
\nLanguage helps nations overcome silence and noise.
\nthe multitude of concerns and priorities.
\nAnd the broken dreams of people who migrate in search of a hope that enters the realm of reality.
\nOn Arabic Language Day
\nand in virtual reality.
\nThe heart of the event is not a square in a city drowning in feet.
\nnor an invention that threatens to change the face of humanity in a city floating on modernity.
\nnor a man-made or natural disaster.
\nnor a festival of shapes and colors.
\nRather, it is all this in a story or novel that satisfies the thirst of letters for meaning, cause or purpose.
\n“A Goal in a Book” is the title chosen by ESCWA to celebrate the Arabic language and languages this year.
\nin an attempt to link the content of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and its 17 goals to the heritage of humanity.
\nsummarized by literary works.
\nThe reader meets what led to these goals in books in which the letters of the language flow with anxiety and joy, no matter what.
\nWhat is important is that they write the nations line by line in a past that remains present.
\nand charting the way to the future.
\nThe language is rich with works that deal with human issues.
\nWe rediscover them in scenes that were and still are
\nThe novel plucks them out of reality.
\nThey are drawn by chapters and characters that speak on behalf of every individual and society.
\nAmong them is a student yearning for education.
\nA worker looking for a job.
\na woman seeking equality, a nation.
\nsmall or large.
\nseeking development for all and enough resources for the present and future generations. Arabic Language Day is one of the six language days.
\ndedicated by the United Nations Organization on December 18th.
\nto emphasize pluralism.
\nand the role of languages in transmitting the universal message to the local consciousness.
\nto be received by every human being.
\nadopted by the farmer in his field
\nthe industrialist in his factory
\nand the decision maker in his position of responsibility.
\nEveryone works in a construction workshop on solid foundations that do not exclude anyone for a world that does not neglect anyone.
